The history of Sunbelt Pools is one of evolution and growth. Our objective has always been to satisfy our customers. Over the years, the complexity of our projects has increased and the challenges have grown, but it has always been our desire to complete a job with new friends and customers for life.
Sunbelt Pools was first established as a swimming pool cleaning service and repair business in 1977 by Jon Collins, and until 1998 operated under the name Olympic Pools. In 1986, Rob Morgan, a college friend of Mr. Collins, began a company called Texas Pool Supply that shared the same building as Olympic Pools. Texas Pool Supply focused on selling and delivering pool chemicals, parts and new equipment primarily to the apartment industry. Over time, that emphasis shifted to municipal and institutional customers. In 1990, Texas Pool Supply’s name was changed to Sunbelt Pool Supply, although its emphasis on pool product distribution remained unchanged. In 1998, Sunbelt and Olympic merged to become Sunbelt Pools, Inc. with Rob Morgan and Jon Collins as principals.
Both Olympic and Sunbelt Pools were established on the premise that every customer should be treated with respect, and that they deserve the highest level of quality products and services available at a fair price. This commitment, coupled with the unparalleled dedication of key personnel, has allowed Sunbelt Pools to grow considerably, and most importantly to earn the respect of the industry, as well as their customers.
Sunbelt’s construction division has built numerous uniquely designed swimming pools, spas, and fountains for the commercial sector throughout Texas and surrounding states. Sunbelt’s remodeling and renovation division has successfully remodeled thousands of swimming pools. Their many unusual projects include breath-taking natural waterfalls, custom stone-veneered spas and retaining walls, caves, and unusual water features, not to mention numerous award-winning designs and projects.Sunbelt’s repair division is trained and equipped to handle any repair, or new equipment installation request. They service all major pool equipment brands. Sunbelt’s 15,000 square foot warehouse stocks just about any part, chemical, or new equipment that a customer would need.
In October of 1999, Sunbelt Pools moved into its newly completed 30,000 square foot office, showroom and warehouse. The new building is located at 10555 Plano Road in Dallas, less than half a mile north of 635. It is hard to miss because of the impressive twenty-two foot high glassed-enclosure and natural in-door custom designed swimming pool that faces Plano Road.
As Sunbelt has grown and changed, its time-honored conservative values and principles have remained unchanged. For over thirty years, Sunbelt Pools has been, and will remain, committed to the idea of complete customer satisfaction.
