The Center for the Intrepid is located in Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Funded by The Intrepid Fallen Hero’s Fund, the center is designed to assist in the recovery and rehabilitation of United States military personnel. It specializes in helping those injured with amputations and burns.

The swimming pools at the Center for the Intrepid include a therapy and lap pool and a Flow Rider wave pool. The lap pool is used for normal swimming exercise as well as rehabilitation of soldiers who have suffered burns or other injuries. The pool includes water basketball and volleyball. It features a tiled deck level concrete gutter system. The Flow Rider wave pool is not only a fun amenity, but is used to help injured soldiers regain balance.
