We focus on work for municipalities, universities, school districts, institutions and private commercial pool owners. Our projects vary from waterparks to competitive pools and include many varieties in between. We provide new pool construction as well as renovations and complete makeovers. While we are geographically located in Dallas, Texas, we work throughout Texas and the surrounding states.
Sunbelt also distributes an array of quality products to help our customers maintain and enhance their facilities. Our extensive experience in pool operation helps us understand and support available products so that they work to their full potential.
We are looking for a Commercial Aquatic Service Technician to join our team. Our technicians service waterparks and commercial pools all over the metroplex and beyond. Prior experience is preferred, however, we will train the right candidate who possesses a hard work ethic and mechanical aptitude. Hourly wage is negotiable based on experience. This position requires about 10% travel and 90% local work.
Tasks:
· Test and balance of water chemistry
· Calibrate chemical controllers
· Make repairs on chemical feeders, equipment and some plumbing
· Inspect equipment to verify proper functioning
· Keep a detailed log of tasks performed, chemical readings, repair recommendations, inventory, etc.
· Communicate with superior and customers effectively and efficiently
Qualifications and requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Driver’s license
· Pool maintenance or electrical or plumbing experience preferred, but not required
· Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license preferred, but not required
· Integrity and character, reliability, and commitment to a long-term role in our company
· Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset
· Ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
· Organized and detail oriented
· Maintain professional appearance following company guidelines
· Ability to work overtime as necessary (more frequent during Spring and Summer months)
· Ability to travel as necessary and on short notice
· Ability to work year round in Texas weather
· Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
· Ability to withstand extensive walking, kneeling, standing and reaching daily
· Ability to swim
· Ability to work with hazardous chemicals and take necessary precautions
· Pass random drug screenings

Sunbelt Pools is seeking a Service Technician for the aquatics industry. Sunbelt is a large commercial aquatic contractor along with distributor of major brands and service company. Most of our customers are municipalities, YMCA’s, and universities. This individual must have a working knowledge of the maintenance and operation of large aquatic facilities and the ability to use that knowledge. The Service Technician must be able to work independently much of the time and as a team for larger installations and services.
A firm understanding in water quality and how to achieve excellent water quality is required. This includes the understanding of balancing water to meet an acceptable saturation index along with balancing water for the safety of our client’s customers.
This position requires travel across all of Oklahoma. Even though majority of our customers are in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas we do have many customers across the state. This position is suited for an individual that can work in remote parts of the state with little assistance.
