Project Description

Huntsville Aquatic Facility

The Huntsville Aquatic Facility in Huntsville, Texas features a rim flow concrete guttered competition pool and a family recreational leisure pool. The competition pool features an 8 lane venue with concrete gutters with rim flow coping. The leisure pool has play features from Vortex and a zero depth “beach” entry.

It is unfortunate to have to note that this facility is an example of the importance of the need for a quality construction team. The facility features two beautiful pools, but the overall facility suffers from substandard construction. The deck was poured uneven and was very poorly finished. Rather than removing the substandard work, the contractor opted to top the deck with a finish that also looks bad. The construction of the building is also disappointing.
