Bahama Beach Water Park was built on the site of the Thurgood Marshall Park in Dallas, Texas. It is believed to be the first urban municipal water park and was opened in May 2005. The park has opened with great success with up to 1,800 people per day enjoying the 20,000 square foot leisure pool, 6 waterslides plus the massive Rainfortress play area. This project was built as a design-build project.
