The Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas is the home of the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament, and now the new Villa expansion. The Villa Expansion features a beautifully designed group of pools with unusual and stunning curves. The pool features poured in place coping and a Pebble Tech surface. In addition to the two adult pools, there is a children’s pool and also a fountain.
Because of the famously horrible Los Colinas area soil, the pool is built in a giant structural “sandbox”. There is actually a suspended structural shell beneath the pool that is filled with select fill. The pool was then excavated out of this soil to isolate it from the constantly moving and expanding clays.
