The Lewisville Sun Valley Aquatic Center in Lewisville, Texas had an old and outdated rectangular swimming pool. The old pool was removed and a new municipal waterpark was built in its place. The waterpark opened in May 2005 and has been an overwhelming success with near-capacity crowds every day enjoying the over 14,500 square feet of aquatic venue.
