The City of Mesquite had a neighborhood pool that was built in the 60s that was outdated and offered few amenities for the area. The old pool was removed and a new modern pool was built that included a beach entry, interactive toy feature, slide, and lap lanes. The new pool was opened in May of 2006. The pool has been so popular that the city has had to offer discount tickets for their other pools to get people to go there rather than the new facility that has been operating at capacity all summer.
